What Is Database Maker?
Database Maker is a web based Database Software tool designed to dynamically create a user Form and a Database Software Query interface. The files that Database Maker creates will be downloaded to your computer once you have completed the process. These files are designed to work on any Unix-based server that supports PHP 4+, and MySQL databases.
How Does Database Maker Work?
When you create the Form, to your specifications, all the necessary Database Software files are automatically created for you. The process is easy and the Help System explains everything you will need to know to create your form.
Once your files are created and tested on this server you will then download them to your computer to be uploaded to your server.
What Are The Form And The Lookup?
The Form is what the user will fill out to submit their information to the database. The Lookup is the Database Software Query Tool that is used to retrieve that information as a record from the database.

The Form that you create can have up to 99 fields and you can customize the colors and fonts on the form.
The Form is the only file that you will have to create. All the other files are created for you based on the fields you have chosen for your Form.
The Lookup is a fully functional Database Software query administration tool. The record retrieval functions are fully capable of searching, editing, and deleting the records in your database.
The Lookup query functions are all based on the fields you have created on the form. For example if you created the fields First Name and Last Name then two of the options on Lookup interface for queries would be First Name and Last Name, etc.
The Lookup is available in 5 easily selectable color schemes and has many features that will make querying the database a breeze.
Features Of the Lookup
- Easy to use and understand.
- Full query and search functions using the fields that are contained in your Form.
- Sorting in ascending and decending order of records based on the fields in your Form.
- Choice of the number of records to view per page.

What Would I Use The Form And The Lookup For?
Well, that depends on your own needs but it could be used to collect any user information for any needed purpose.
For example in business there are customers. The customers have information which is used to keep a record of that customer's information for future use. The customer fills out the Form with their information and it is submitted to the database. Whenever you want to retrieve their information you will go to the Lookup interface and retrieve the customer's record.
Another example would be if you wanted to have a Guest Book on your personal web site. The guest fills out the Form, with the information that you require, and then it is submitted to the database. When you want to see who has signed your Guest Book lately you go to the Lookup interface and retrieve the records. To see who signed it in the last two days you can do a query using a date range of yesterday to today. This will retrieve only the records from the past two days.
